Wastewater Treatment Plant, Coombabah, Queensland
This project involved civil works construction in the upgrade of the Coombabah Wastewater Treatment Plant, the largest of the Gold Coast Wastewater Treatment Plants.
FEATURES:
- upgrade of a brownfield wastewater treatment plant from 66ML/d (264,000EP) to 75ML/d (300,000 EP)
- construction of a new reactor (63.7m diameter), clarifier (38m diameter) RAS,WAS, supernatant and scum pumping systems as well as a new chlorine contact tank with a minor upgrade to the chlorine dosing facilities
- upgrade of aeration system
- modification to the stormflow bypass for flows above 3xADWF
- interconnecting pipeworks
- civil works associated with the electrical and process control upgrade.
