Tiebaghi Materials Handling System, New Caledonia

This design and construct project increased the capacity and efficiency of the Tiebaghi Mine's material handling system at New Caledonia. The project is one component of SLN's strategy to increase the capacity of its Doniambo Refining Facility from 60,000 to 75,000 tonnes per year. FEATURES:
  • new stockyard to accommodate 4 x 27,000t stockpiles
  • all civil works including earthworks, haul roads and drainage
  • electrical controls
  • receival hopper, 500m stockyard conveyor that stacks and reclaims , top-of-rail infrastructure and transfer tower
  • 1.2km, 2,400t/h capacity jetty conveyor, supported on a steel-piled, tubular steel trussed jetty.
