Stage 1 The Quadrant, Sydney, New South Wales
Restoration skills came to the fore in the design, construction and ultimate conversion of the Wilcox Mofflin Building, a 100-year-old woolstore, into commercial office space at Ultimo in Sydney.
FEATURES:
- sandblasting all existing finishes and repairing and replacing a number of structural elements throughout the building
- refurbishment of existing building, additional 4-storey annex to back of building, a 2-storey commercial carpark and 3 lifts and 3 fire stairs
- removing asbestos roof to allow for a mezzanine level, plant room and new sheet metal roof
- 9,500 square metres of office space for future tenants
- archaeological studies required in historically significant precinct
