Liverpool Hospital, Mental Health Centre, New South Wales
This project involved the construction of a new 50-bed inpatient accommodation mental health centre for the Liverpool Hospital.
FEATURES:
- a fully piled foundation with the new earthworks formation created from imported sandstone fill
- erection of two large suspended reinforced concrete floors, the upper of which forms the roof and is extensively membraned then topped to drainage falls, and
- provision for future construction of a third and fourth floors.
BENEFITS:
- six months of value engineering to identify cost-saving measures for the client
- implementation of stringent quality assurance including EDAS techniques and the newly developed defect management system IDMS to ensure costs don't over-run, and
- extensive experience in constructing within current operating environments assists in ensuring that there is minimal disruption to the hospital functionality.
